Vehicle description

You are bidding on a 1976 Jaguar XJS road course race car. It has raced in the 24 Hours of Lemons race series for the last two years. It is a blast to drive. You won"t be able to wipe the crazy grin off of your face for days after the race. It is a modified Jaguar XJS. The suspension and brakes are still stock Jag. The engine and transmission are from a Chevy dump truck with low miles. The motor is a small block 350 and the trans is a TH-350 automatic both work great it shifts well and has plenty of power. The trailer is not included in the listing, It is not for sale. The car is perfect for the beginning racers. it handles easily and is cheap to maintain. It has a brand camlock type racing harness (still in the box). the current belts expire at the end of this year. The steering wheel has a quick release. it has a GPS type speedometer a clock and the necessary gauges on a custom panel. There is a fire extinguisher. the battery is mounted in the trunk it still retains the factory fuel tank. The brake lights work but there are no other lights. The current tires only have one race on them. We have had a blast with this car. I recently had surgery and won"t be able to race for at least a year and I would rather see someone else enjoy the car instead of it sitting in a field waiting for the track. I do have some spares that are included like a full set of tires and a pile of brake pads and fresh racing brake fluid. The car is not perfect. The Cover on the Kirkey racing seat is torn and taped but works fine. There are dings and dents. The driver side headlight is gone, my apologies to the Clown Vic" on that one. . . The steering is tight and it tracks well. The suspension is a little soft and the brakes do heat up and fade a little so it takes a little finesse because of the automatic trans. But it is fast powerful and fun! !
