Going to move the New Years Day Race to an Asphalt Facility for 2021 ! Hopefully that means a better surface but you just never know what to expect on January 1st, well besides a good time with a bunch of racers adapting to the conditions presented. Join us at Tomah Sparta Speedway for the 1 PM start (MUCH sooner if you are racing, Pits open at 9 AM)
Fresh off his first ever ISS victory (OK it was like 2 months ago, Oct 3rd) this is Garret Strachota"s 2002 Escort ZX2. It has a 2.0 Zetec motor and a 5 speed. He hung around the top 5 all day and then when it started raining he took off and started lapping the field. This would be a good one for New Years Day. He knocked his RF way out of wack near the end, he had egged out his strut holes for camber but somehow he hit someone (or they hit him) just right to rip that bolt through what was left of the original strut hole. I loosened it up and put it back together to make it easier to get on a trailer but it"ll need attention, heck maybe just a tack weld if you"re good. You know the drill, needs seat, belts, maybe brakes? As is-where is used racecar, needs some love but will pay you back with a good time! In a continuing effort to keep a level playing field our series keeps the top 2 finishing cars. Walk away with decent prize money but you"re really only a winner if you won more than you spent! Most of the big dollar racers are busy somewhere else complaining about the high cost of racing leaving us to have our fun. Dumb, stupid fun! We are The Impact Survival Series, 10 years now. Crazy damn deal with a bunch of really smart racers having the time of their life!
