Up for sale is an original 1942 Harley-Davidson WLA Army 45 bike. This historic motorcycle was purchased 45 years ago and is in amazing untouched/ unrestored condition. It still has its iconic shade of Army OD green paint. This bike is currently on display for public view at Formula One Motorsports in Oakdale New York. From what we see the bike is complete and has the potential to be fully restored or just get running. This bike was likely part of the Lend lease act of 1941 as we have no official military documentation denoting it"s state side use. Passed in March 1941, the Lend-Lease Act was the principal means for providing U.S. military aid to foreign nations during World War II. The United States transferred supplies without compensation to Britain, China, the Soviet Union and other countries, the act permitted the United States to support its war interests without being overextended in battle. We are not WLA experts but from what we can tell it appears to be an original bike I don"t believe the motor has ever been apart. Even the muffler and exhaust system is original and in really good condition. The battery cover and speedo drive are in great condition as well.
