Vehicle description
Cool little 48 volt. This cart is actually brand new and just got batteries a couple weeks ago for the first time. Was purchased several years ago and never used. Cart has only been tested and used for a couple hours. I used it at the drag races as a personal mobility vehicle. The seat is really comfortable and fully adjustable including lumbar. Has plenty of power to have standing ryder on back. Very light and peppy. Tires are still a little square from sitting for a couple years but are getting better. Metallic red/strawberry paint. Has the standard style accelerator and brake pedal with forward and reverse. But as far as the brakes are concerned, the cart has a neat feature in that it brakes automatically as you let off the accelerator, and puts itself in park mode when stopped. It really works surprisingly well from any speed. I don"t think I have used the brake pedal more than once since I figured out how to put it in automatic. Makes it a little safer if your going to let Grandma tool around in it. We clocked it at 12 mph with hot batteries.
For some reason no one is receiving my answers to their questions, so I will give more of a description that will hopefully answer all. The cart was manufactured in Elgin Il. by a company called TOURGO. We bought some remaining carts that were unfinished at the closing sale around 2005. We just never got around to doing anything with them. The companies that manufactured the drive motor and rear differential and the electric controls are still around but everything has been superseded by new non interchangeable part numbers. We bought the carts as runners with no batteries or seats . this is the only one that I have recently finished. Like I said, The cart is brand new with just a couple hours testing, so you really shouldn"t need any parts for quite a while one would hope. I would however sell another new cart ( less seat and batteries ) for 500 dollars to the buyer who meets the by it now price. Seats of the same kind are also available for an additional 150 dollars. Keep the other cart for parts or finish it off. The cart will be tested to verify that everything works as it should.
