Vehicle description
2005 GMC Cabover Box Truck with 57,000 Miles. This unit was surplus from Michigan State University where it"s been since 2005. So yes, It does have surface rust. Otherwise I do not believe there are any surprises. I drove it from Michigan to Tennessee with absolutely no issues. No wobble, sputtering, veering, chattering or anything else. Outside a bumpy ride from being empty it handled very nice. The 7.8 Isuzu Turbo Diesel(6HK1XR) ran strong and idled smooth. The Allison Transmission shifted smoothly, the steering wheel was tight with no play. The brakes stopped straight and firmly. Best of all No Warning Lights on the cluster. No high temperatures, Lots of oil pressure etc. The tires are fairly recent. I"d say they are 75 - 80% rubber. Should last for a good while. Interior is very clean. One small tear in the floorboard on the drivers side, otherwise very nice condition. Power window on Pass side. All glass is good, no cracks or chips. It"s rained a good bit since I got home with it. Outside seepage under the rear door where it"s parked the box is dry. I am backed in on an upward slope. The box exterior either had allot of vinyl lettering or a vinyl wrap. It has been removed however the residue and ghost lettering is still there. The lift gate is a Waltco. The chart on the box side shows it as a max of 4400#. If lowered on a dock it can hold up to 10K including fork lift. Again, it does have surface rust. If you are from a Northern State I expect you are a bit more use to this than I am. Not much of an issue in the south. Anyway I did have the guy down the way spray the wheels and along the frame rails so it would be pretty for you. I am asking for a deposit within 24 hours. Balance can be paid in person, Wire, or Paypal. Should be a good truck for a while to come.
