Vehicle description
Freightliner MT45 Step Van
Body: Morgan Olson, all aluminum, fiberglass roof. 11 foot cargo bed
Engine: Mercedes MBE900/4 four cylinder 4.3 Liter engine (pre-emissions, no PCV or DEF)
Transmission: Allison-1000 5 speed
94k miles
I have owned and driven this Truck for about a year, it has been extremely reliable and fuel efficient. Even though the body and bumpers are dinged it is mechanically excellent. starts runs and drives without a hiccup and its steering is tight and precise. The tires have about 50% of their tread. The van is peppy and easy to drive once you get the feel. It even fits in normal parking spaces.
Four wheel disk brakes.
Most if not all of the original owner and service manuals.
It is currently registered in Florida as an RV.
Problems:
The body has various superficial dings and dents and small spots of corrosion on the rear door. The paint has been scraped away in some spots when the graphics were removed.
Two of the three kick vents are broken These are $30 +/- and are riveted in place (can be bolted)
The front corner of the roof, passenger side, is a cast aluminum corner piece. It is cracked. it does not leak or cause problems.
The rear bumper has been bumped and is bent the rubber cover is now held on with screws.
The Driver side sun visor is broken and difficult to position.
The bulkhead separating the cargo from cab is bent from cargo sliding into it and this has affected the function of the door somewhat but it still works.
Its fiberglass roof is stained and warped. It is structurally sound but doesn"t look great. It cannot be seen except inside looking up.
Shipping- Delivery: I am available to deliver the Van to most parts of North America for cost of travel. I estimate around $0.50 per mile.
