Vehicle description
This is an old FLU 419 I"ve had for a few years. When the military was selling these off, I did a lot of homework, and managed to get one that was in great condition. Engine was rebuilt late 2001, whole unit recapped early 2002. It had 43 hours on it when I got it, and since then I"ve added about a hundred more.
Since I bought it I have replaced a few filters, the clutch button, both batteries, the stick shift cup, all the tires, and some hydraulic lines. I rebuilt a hydraulic cylinder after I blew a seal the first day I got it because I didn"t know the trick to getting it back on the locking pin. So far that"s all it"s really needed. Finally I changed the oil and greased all the fittings this spring.
Engine starts right up, and everything works as expected. I"ve used it, but never abused it. It has all the hydraulic tools it"s supposed to come with, but I"ve never had a chance to use them. I mounted a hoist on the ROPS to assist in loading and unloading the spare. Without it, taking down and putting back the tire is at least a two man job. Can readily be removed if desired.
I printed out all the manuals I could find on it. It will come with those and a few spare filters I have. It also has the paperwork to be street legal making it a perfect fit you"re looking for a backhoe that you don"t need a truck and trailer to haul around!
