Vehicle description

Homologated by the SCCA in 1985 as a Formula Continental, this air cooled Formula Super Vee is now a vintage formula race car run with the Vintage Racers Group however it may be able to be run regionally with the Formula S class of the SCCA. The car has a fresh zero hour 2.0L air cooled T4 motor (Monopost 70 legal) with a Hewland Mk8 gearbox. The car well kept, maintained and updated as stated below. All oil lines are now carbon fiber.

This FSV comes with original SCCA homolgation certificate and SCCA logbook
Updates to the car:
2011 – NEW Aerocraft fuel cells (both sides) the aluminum was removed because that is how the cells come out and they were re-riveted
2012 – Joe Stimola at SRP Engineering tuned NEW Koni Shocks with new EBS springs all the way around
2013 – The Race Place, Wampum, PA CAD designed and constructed NEW engine cradle
2015 – all oil lines were changed from stainless braided to carbon fiber braided
2016 - installed inline oil filter
2017 – NEW 2.0L motor (71mm stroke x 94.30mm bore); J&E Piston with new steel barrels. Crank is NEW AA performance, all new bearings, H-Beam rods from AA Performance; Racer Brown 357 cam profiled by Norris Cams (cam profile diagram can be provided to give lift and duration chart). Heads have all new guides, valves (37mm intake and 34mm exhaust), dual springs, steel pushrods, Solex PII 40 floatless carbs with sump system. (spare set of Solex’s built by Dave Coleman at Summit Point, WV included with the car). THERE ARE 0 track hours on the motor so it will need to be broken in. NEW Kennedy Products racing clutch, Bertils 8lb flywheel. Gearbox: Hewland MK8 4 speed box in VERY good order, no spare gears. Spares WITH the Car include:
3 nose cones (need to be drilled for the font wings)

2 sets I-Beam connecting rods for 66mm stoke crank w/ 1 set ARP bolts
2 66mm stroke crankshafts – 1 polished and ready to install, 1 Bertils 66mm stroke crank in need of HELP

1 set 1600cc pistons/cylinders
2 spare J&E 94.30 cylinders
4 1600cc pistons (these were the patterns for the Ross racing pistons that I had made for a different FSV motor)
2 coils (1 bosch, 1 Master Blaster)
1 set of rebuilt Solex Pii 40 floatless carbs (specifically for this car)
1 set intake manifolds
2 ½ sets of carb stacks
