Ford LN8000 Dump Truck, 1995, 7-8 yard Dump with only 69,000 miles. It has a Cummins 8.3L 250Hp motor with a 9 Speed Fuller transmission. Power steering,Air Brakes, A/C, Dual fuel tanks, 11R22.5 wheels. This dump truck has been part of our family business for 20years.
Unfortunately, Our Father passed away about six years ago and his Septic Sewer installation business eventually closed down.
This truck was used with the trailer (selling on another action at the same time as this one) to haul a backhoe and transport rock and dirt to job sites.
The company only worked in a 20miles radius hence the low miles. It has had a new set of battery’s installed and starts up and runs great. The engine or transmission do not appear to have any oil leaks that I can see from underneath. Also, all the tires all look Ok see pictures.The only negatives I could see are there is some rust on the inside dash board around the gauges and on a few places around the body along with the roof which is from the salty air around the costal areas the business ran. It is still very clean for the year though. And the passengers side front fiberglass wheel arch is a bit broken. See pictures.
At the moment it is in No-Operational status with a clean title. To be quite honest with you I do not know much more about the history of the truck other than it was extremely reliable over the years and the company used to do regular maintenance.
One think to keep in mind is that here in California we now have to have all diesel trucks smogged and we unfortunately have some of the strictest testing in the country. I have heard though that there are many places exempt within CA but please check you local area.I really do not know what that would entail here so you might want to check with your local municipality, County or State.
