Vehicle description
NO RESERVE! ! High bid wins! Ford F800 with Cummins 8.3 Diesel 45 Foot boom with over 28,000 lb max lift capacity This truck was owned and maintained by the City of Austin from the time it was new until I bought it earlier this year. Everything works as it should. The AC blows cold! Ready to go to work today! Tires are all in very good condition. No rust or corrosion issues. I bought this truck earlier this year because we wanted to set some deer stands, move a shed and I had to move sever large rolls of synthetic turf grass. The pole clamp worked perfectly to grab the rolls of turf and then extend the boom to set the turf in the back of a box truck. I looked on the web and see that the F800 with this 8.3 is a very popular combination. Lots of power, very reliable. The brokers on the internet are asking $25,000 to $30,000 for a truck like this, and they don’t have the pole clamp or the front bumper winch. When I bought the truck, it was already in great mechanical condition, it was just ugly. I spent $500 on paint and a bunch of man hours pressure washing the truck and painting it. It still wont win any beauty contest but you would not be ashamed to show up on a jobsite with this truck now. I am done using the truck and don’t want to just park it and let it sit forever so I am listing this as a true “no reserve auction”. No gimmicks, I just figure that it will sell for whatever its worth. It does not matter if it sells for $3,000 or $30,000, the high bidder wins! (My original plan was to use it and then find something to trade for) You can fly into Austin or San Antonio and drive it home. I would have no reservations about driving this anywhere across the country. You can cruise down the freeway at 70mph. Whoever wins this auction will be happy with this truck. You are welcome to come and inspect the truck before you bid. Just send me a message and we can meet up. The truck is in New Braunfels Texas. 202 hp
