Vehicle description

1964 M151 a1 jeep. uncut.
If your not local, I can work with you on shipping. I"ve used Fisher shipping based in Mass and have had excellent results.
The Good: Its titled / registered / inspected in Mass. New rear differential Almost no leaks! (This is extremely rare for an M151) New master cylinder / brake lines / complete brake system New driveshaft New U-Joints Lubed and Greased New seat cushions New steel under pass seat side New tool box door and battery box floor (Not photographed) New front and rear A2 electrical harness New light switchbox New motormounts Includes vinyl cover and skeleton Engine doesn"t smoke Updated 24volt alternator New fuel pump (Mechanical) all gauges work (water temp aftermarket, I have original if you want)
Email me for a link to all the photos and a few videos of it running and a walkaround. wont let me list it. [email protected]
The Bad: I didn"t prime / paint new steel fast enough and some surface rust Cant get the carb to be perfect. Runs with choke on, gotta play with it to get it just right Non original air intake to accomodate large 24volt alternator (I have the original parts if you want them) body has some filler from previous owner. shows on hood and elsewhere, I painted spots as I worked on them and as you can see from the photos, paint is a mix of brown and olive green.
I used the jeep to drive the kids around and to give rides at local events. Everywhere I go, I meet people who learned to drive on a Mutt, or who just tell me their story. You are literally buying a piece of history. I have the background story of the jeep from a fellow in England who has the paperwork for all M151s, and I can share that with the new owner.
Understand that you are buying a 55 year old army jeep, its sold as is and I have listed it as honestly as I can. I can send more photos and videos to anyone if they are seriously interested in it.
Email me any questions. . I"ll miss it, but I"ve got other projects that are not allowing me to maintain the m151 and I dont want it to just sit. .
