For sale we have our 2001 Gillig LF 40" Bus
This is a lovely bus that was being used for charter services in Orlando, FL. It has been in Florida most of its life. The bus is being sold due to switching to motor coach style buses.
-This bus has an International / Detroit Diesel DT530 6 cylinder Engine. This engine is similar to the DT466 but with more power!
-It has a Voith .3 Automatic Transmission
-It has a hand operated wheel chair ramp that folds out, and two sets of folding seats with seatbelts to safely secure the handicap.
-The A/C is working cold, Air compressor is building up great, engine runs very steady, transmission shifts very smooth.
-The Federal DOT inspections have been performed on this vehicle annually and is still current up to this day.
-It has a total of 38 seats plus standing room for an additional 31 passengers for a total of 69 passengers!
* *The high pressure fuel pump, injectors, and batteries have been recently replaced costing $3,000.00 in parts alone and the engine was rebuilt just 11 months ago* *
This bus has been maintained at a diesel mechanic shop daily for the last 5 years. This engine and transmission have been working great and all repairs and routine maintenance services have been kept up with. Compared to cummins, and detroit 60 series engines that we run, this engine had slightly better fuel economy.
Mechanically this bus is ready to roll, slap your name on it and you"re all set. This bus drives with a ton of power and has no problem accelerating even with a full bus.
Cosmetically this bus is in overall good condition but has some scratches and dents around that could use some work.
