Vehicle description
This is a "brand new" used trailer! Let me explain. It was originally a 34" 5th wheel RV. Manufactured in 2001 by Komfort. Lightening struck the TV antenna knocking a hole in the roof and charring the inside. Rather than rebuilding it, we tore it down to the frame. So the ONLY part of this unit that is 2001 is the steel frame and Dexter axles. I am a personal friend of the previous owner. He had it setup at an RV park and never moved it. In fact, he didn"t even have a truck! I had to move it for him, so there are VERY few miles on the frame!
Now for the new. Last summer (2018), the following work was done:
After stripping down to the steel frame, the entire frame was repainted. Then over $700 of steel was added to reinforce the frame. BEFORE, installing the decking, ALL sides were treated with weather sealer! Then after installation, the top was coated again. I like things that sparkle, so we put on lots of polished diamond plate aluminum, as well as chrome wheels.
The front tires are 100%. Rear tires are 85%. It has LED lighting all the way around.
Unit also Includes 6" steel ramps & a spare tire. Both are stored under the deck, giving the trailer a clean look. There are ramp rails on both the lower and upper decks, allowing you to drive all the way up! With the ability to USE THE ENTIRE length of the trailer, you can load 2 full sized vehicles. This trailer does have a fifth wheel hitch, however, it can easily be converted, if you have a goose neck ball! Once all the work was completed, it passed Texas state inspection and was issued a CLEAN Texas title.
