Vehicle description
Here we have for your bidding pleasure is a 1985 E-One Fire/Ladder Truck. This unit has only 17000 original miles and only 2200hrs. It has been owned by the same fire department all its life and has been garaged all it life also. It will run and drive anywhere one would want to go with it. Engine starts right up with no smoke or skips whatsoever, transmission shifts like it should, it will run at 55 MPH with no shakes or shimmy"s anywhere. This is a very rare 135 foot ladder truck, most are 105 to 115 feet, this is a rare one indeed, close to a half a million dollars to replace this truck. being the height it is it would be a great tool for someone who has wind mills or great for parades, or a fire department which cannot afford a new one, kids just love it when it goes by, all lights and sirens are operational, front tires are Goodyear"s 385/65R 22.5 and the rears are Goodyear"s 11R-24.5 they are all at or about 75% tread wear remaining as are the brakes. The last inspection for the truck was at the end of 2016, the ladder works as it should and is very tight up and down as is side to side also. It was brought out only once in the last two years for a parade. If any one has any questions please do not hesitate to call and we will answer and or return all calls. We are located 5 miles from the Syracuse airport and will gladly pick up anyone who would want to fly in and drive it home. Payment is due with in three days of auctions end, funds must clear before the fire truck is removed, bid with confidence as our feedback shows, our buy it now price is a mere fraction of what this truck cost new much less to replace it on todays prices. So thank you and good luck!
