Dodge M37 1953 vintage original complete survivor 4wd truck
Awesome original M37 that is in running condition with title. This truck was purchased at Government auction in the mid sixties and saw service in Ft. Riley Kansas. It was used on a farm in Kansas up until I purchased it a few months back. I intended at that time to use as a driver here in Utah but life changes (divorce) forces me to thin my herd a bit. This is a excellent example of an unmolested and original brute of a truck. The engine compartment looks all original and complete including the 24volt generator ,original air filter, fuel pump etc. Issues: One spark plug wire was bad and is repaired. Works fine. It will need the manifold gasket between the intake and exhaust replaced. The tires all hold air fine but are weather cracked. I drive it around locally but they should be replaced if you want to take it on the freeway. The front brake line is currently disconnected at the master cylinder due to a bad brake hose. I have the hose but have not installed it yet. The back and emergency brakes work fine. There are rust spots by both headlights as you can see in the pictures that could easily be patched and the two blackout lights that should be on the fenders are missing. The lights are not working and could just be the bulbs. One windshield glass is cracked as well as the rear oval one in the cab. The original troop drop down benches are there but the wood could use a do over at some point. I really have not had the opportunity to play with this bad boy much so I have not fixed some of these smaller things. This truck is almost 70 years old so it is by no means mint restored condition. If you want to knit pick I"m sure you will find things that will need attention but the main thing is it is all there and runs well. Any parts you might need down the road are readily available and at reasonable prices. If want to fully restore it to as new condition. Myself I like it a little rough looking rather than shiny new. I love these old Dodges as they are simple and easy to work on so you can do most of the work yourself instead of taking it to a shop to get reamed. Anyway that is it in a nut shell. I have the Kansas title in hand that is signed over to me. Vin# matches the data plate and I will provide a Bill of sale. I will be listing it locally as well.
