Vehicle description

Vintage, survivor, original Devin fiberglass bodied race car that was raced in the 60"s and 70"s at Carlsbad, OCIR, Palm Dale, LA County and other tracks in the area. This is a "barn find" car that had been sitting since the late 1970"s. There is a lot of documentation, including a bill of sale from 1965, registration since 1975, time slips, dash plaques and old pictures. It still has the Porsche "India Red" paint and decals from when it was last raced.
When I purchased the car, it was pretty much a 1/4 mile drag car. I removed the engine and installed a 355 small block, added a cooling system, charging system and wiring so that it could be driven on the street. This is a running and driving car, that with a little more work (mostly lights, exhaust, and tires), would make something very unique that could be either raced or driven to the local show. The car is titled as a 1956 Chevrolet, has a VIN tag and an original California black license plate.
The car sits on a "56 Chevrolet frame that has been narrowed, shortened and space drilled. It has a "stout " 355 cu in small block with aluminum intake, vintage Corvette aluminum valve covers, Holley carburetor, headers (open w/ no exhaust), aluminum 4 core radiator w/ electric fan, transmission cooler, Sun tachometer, 400 turbo transmission, 4.11 rear end, Triumph rack and pinion steering, 90/10 front shocks, 15 x 9 and 15 x 3.5" Fenton wheels. It was raced as number "293" but it was also under the name "Red Dragon" and "Ziggy Too". I have talked to the person that raced it from 1965-1979 and this car has a pretty cool history. There are a lot more things to say about this car and I would be happy to discuss them with you.
Shipping cost is a responsibility of the buyer, I will help with getting the car loaded on my end.
I have driven this car and it is pretty thrilling ! If you have questions, please call me. Dean. Corvette Specialties of Oregon.
