1960 Daimler Ferret MK2/3 Armored Car. In good overall condition. Interior has been lightly restored. All pads and seats were re-upholstered with heavy duty snowmobile grade vinyl last fall. Radios are not installed to give extra room but are included with sale. Exterior is good but would look very nice with new paint. I chose to just leave it as is. It has a good quality electric 24v fuel pump and can be run off the main fuel tank or auxiliary tank like I"m doing now. Original fuel pump is not working properly and should be replaced. Main fuel tank was flushed and stock fuel filter replaced. New K&N air filter. Original oil bath air filter included with sale. Has on board 24v Battery Tender with 2 new marine batteries. Transmission is in great shape, shifts good, with nice condition brake bands. Engine oil filter canister was replaced with REME Depot spin on filter modification. Engine runs good but carburetor needs adjustment or rebuild. It is blowing black smoke out the exhaust so appears to be running rich. It ran great before it was put into storage in the fall. The carb was rebuilt last year by REME Depot in Texas. The only place it leaks oil is from the wheel stations like all of these do. I have some new oil seals that come with the sale. Exhaust manifold and pipe are wrapped in high quality lava infused wrap. All fluids were changed last summer. Brake master cylinder was just rebuilt last month with stainless steel sleeve and fluid changed. All periscopes in good condition. As one of the pictures shows this is the Ferret that was involved in an international incidence in Germany in 1961. It was used to escort a 12 year old school boy to his school after the communists prevented him from going the previous day. It caused quite a stir and was covered by the press in many countries.
