This particular auction is for an excellent custom made 16 foot bed tandem axle trailer with 2 foot beavertail extension and ramps as shown. It is a beauty but we have no use for it. The original owner passed away in 2012 and his wife told us that her husband paid over $8000 to have it made for his race car and it is not a typical light duty cheap car hauler. Everything on it is thick heavy duty top quality material. The steel used is extremely thick for a trailer of this size. The steel receivers for the side racks alone are overbuilt with 1/4 inch steel plate. The bed support angle iron is 3 inch X 3 inch and is set on 2 foot centers. Last used in 2012 and has sat out in Alabama weather since then so the wood is weathered on top but in good solid condition. The bed is 16 feet long by 6 feet 4 inches wide. It is 22 feet long from front to rear, including the 2 foot long beavertail - (beavertail can be cut off if not needed/wanted). Fully adjustable folding ramps. Two jacks - One Fulton side jack and one central Haulmaster jack. Ball connector is a 2 inch forged Bulldog Hammerblow Corp coupler unit. Model # 3B. The electric winch is a 6000 pound unit with remote - Looks like it may never had been used or used a couple of times. Wood racks are easily removable. Tool/battery box. 4 wheel electric brakes with a 6 point connector. We towed it for about 175 miles and you would not know it was in back of you. Super silent - no noises or problems. All wiring is excellent with no problems. We put two new 2:05 X 15 tires on the right side because they were checked and we didn"t trust them for the trip. The ones on the left side looked OK and ran fine but I would recommend replacing them to match the right side. Obviously hasn"t been used much. All made in America - nothing Chinese. Better to have good originals rather than cheap Chinese reproduction junk. Excellent period survivor. Non refundable deposit of $500 is due at the end of the auction. Balance to be sent by check or bank check within 3 days. Can be picked up at my home within 30 days. Everything is described in detail to the best of my ability with good photos and it is the responsibility of the bidder to determine reasonable values commensurate with condition.
