Vehicle description
ONE OF A KIND. . CUSTOM BUILT. . SHOW WINNER 1934 Ford pedal car body converted to motorized with a 3.5HP Tecumseh electric start engine. Geared currently to go approximately 20-23 mph top speed. (Can be geared down or up with change if sprocket). Has dual caliper 1972 Honda motorcycle hydraulic brakes. Dual exhaust has VW mufflers. Working headlights, taillights, turn signals, running lights and horn. Excellent condition and very well taken care of for shows.
Front suspension is a hand built working Mustang II style tubular a-arm system. All chrome is in excellent condition done by professional chrome shop. Rear suspension isa quick change look, variable drive rear axle system so the rear wheels do not turn at same speed like a live axle (so they won’t skid turning a corner) but has great pickup and is driven by a centrifugal clutch and chain on the engine. Interior is tuck and roll teal and black to match the exterior paint scheme. Dash is oak with gauges (non-working, just show), turn signal indicators and switches for lights as well as key to start engine. Grille is laser cut stainless steel polished to chrome finish.
Kart has been registered with ISCA and has been in many circuit shows winning first in its category as well as many people’s choice awards. It is a big hit with kids and adults in shows that we have taken it toin the area. Can be driven by adult or child (7+ suggested) and does come with a high mount padded seat to mount just above the back of the seat to let adults set feet inside the cowl area the control pedals. (Has gas on right, brake on left side of steering column) Pedals can be moved if needed by readjusting into drilled holes further down rail or closer depending on needs.
Custom Trailer (approx. 5x8) included it you request it in the sale. Painted to match Teal and Black coloring with newly updated LED lighting. Uses a 1 7/8" ball for the tongue (4 wire flat hookup). Has tie down straps included and front hook.
Kart body (not including wheels): Length- 73"; Width at front- 10”; Width at middle-21"; Width at rear (minus wheels)-26 1/2"; Height- 16”; Wheel Base- ~55"
