Vehicle description
This, one of a kind, 1963 Cushman Shark Nose golf cart runs like a new one. The paint and body work was performed in the early 2000"s and has several small dings that show up with close inspection. I would rate it a conservative 6 out of 10. The mechanical updates were performed in the last 3-4 years.
The original 18 hp engine was replaced with a beefier rebuilt 22 hp one. The entire engine was rebuilt from top to bottom. At the same time I added a new clutch, alternator, timer, carbuerator (kehein), coils, starter, fuel pump and 12 volt battery. No expense was spared on this engine.
The single speed transmission was replaced with a three speed transmission, clutch and running gears from a Cushman Truckster.
The two cylinder engine was also equipped with dual exhaust with chrome tips. It has a deep tone and sounds great going down the road or just sitting idling.
Gauges include ammeter, speedometer and tachometer. The original oil pressure "idiot" light is also on the dash.
Lighting includes headlights, taillights, brake and turn signal lights.
The winter enclosure was fabricated special for this cart and cost $700.00. It works great in the winter and is in very good shape.
Overall the cart starts and runs like a dream. It cruises at about 35 mph with a top speed of 45+mph. There are several small scratches in the paint, but is a real head turner. I"ve had this cart long enough to have my fun and it"s now time to move along to my next project.
There are also several spare parts that I have (coils, carbuerator, etc.) along with the original engine, transmission, and differential that we might be able to make a deal on.
Buyer can arrange pick up or arrange for shipment at buyer"s expense. Local zip is 71909.
Email me with any additional questions.
