As in my other listings these are the best of the b est. This is a Crown Super Coach II. Built in 1990 By the Legendary Crown Coach Corporation. The Super II is believed to be the first dramatic departure in body style for the iconic Crown Coach. Which manufactured Coaches maintaining the same recognizable "twinkie" style from 1948 until 1991.
The Crown Super II was Crown"s attempt to modernize their look. Along with "the look" there was an updated modern dash and added air ride. Though there were Super II"s that maintained the mid-engine (amidship) form factor few survived. Most ALL known Crown Super II"s are 40ft and are Allison auto 4 speeds powered by the Detroit 2 stroke 6V92TA.
This Crown is the only known Crown to exist at this length (36") with the Cummins C8.3TI and a 6 speed transmission. Being one of a kind surely gives it value in terms if collectability. But as well it is a beautiful Crown to drive. Smooth as glass.
Tires, brakes, engine and trans are all excellent. In my 1400 mile journey it ran right at 180 degrees and climbed mountain passes with ease. Very Beautiful bus. Emgine has less than 20,000 miles. New Clutch 1400 miles ago. Air Ride. Does not drop fluids. Lights and gauges perform as they should. Very Very Dark tint from the factory and all glass is perfect. Just a very smooth riding Coach that needs nothing with a build quality made Crown the premier and dominant West Coast builder for 50 years.
