1988 Crown Supercoach
Detroit 671 & Allision Automatic Trans, runs excellent 84 pax 38" Model: 2A-38-426 VIN (last 6 #s) JC102186 Body and paint is very good condition. Maintenance Records Current 292 (as of the time of this listing) which is the inspection card Bus can not be put into service in the state of California No warranty expressed or implied by seller, seller reserves the right to sell bus locally and remove this listing. This is the premier school bus of California. These are the original heavy duty long living buses ever built. Crown pioneered the first front control, flat nosed bus with the door in front of the axle back in 1932.
The Crown Coach has the reputation of being one of best of the best in the school bus world. Huge trunk in back, which for RV conversions is a big plus. Underfloor center mount "pancake" engines put the center of gravity where it should be, in the center. Spare tire compartment.
The potential of such a bus is great: Fully self contained conversion, a day camper, a toy or preserve as a historical vehicle. There is no other bus that looks or drives like a Crown!
