Vehicle description
CONTINENTAL INDUSTRIAL ENGINE ENGINE MADE BY CONTINENTAL AIRPLANE MANUFACTURING
CONTINENTAL ENGINE. This engine I am selling for a friend who passed away. I was under the impression this was an airplane engine but I have had several people tell me it is an industrial model engine. With large oil sum, magneto ignition and oil cooler but it does not have dual spark plugs. What you see in the photos is what I have. It has been sitting for some time and needs to be gone through to check out everything. I can not find a model number or ID tag. I do not know much more than that. Open to offers.
I do believe the heads can be converted to dual spark plugs but not sure on installing another magneto.
Below is an email from an experienced person informing me about this engine.
This isn"t an aircraft engine. It"s an engine that Continental Motors produced based off of their A650, A85, C90, and O-200 four cylinder aircraft engines, for a Ground Power Unit
