Vehicle description
Up for sale is my 2001 Chrysler Town and Country modified for a wheelchair driver.
However the van can be driven normal and all modifications can be removed or left in and can still be driven by an able body.
The van is equipped with:
Push Rock hand controls (so it can be driven by a person with zero leg function.)
A foot plate guard (blocks the pedals so your legs dont hit them)
A suicide knob and Tri-pin (for easy one hand turning for someone with limited hand function can drive)
A Rear entry powered wheelchair ramp and hatch. (great for parking in a normal space so you dont get blocked in and dont need a Handicap Parking Spot.)
A 4 Way powered swivel seat (to make transfers to the drivers seat easy)
A keyfab (to open and close the ramp from outside)
Remote Start
The van is wired for subs already but the wires can be taken out.
After market Pioneer (DEH-2200UB) Head Unit Radio with USB and AUX.
The Odometer reads 220125 miles.
I"ve always kept up on maintenance for the van including routine oil changes every 3,000 miles, Yearly check-ups at a mechanic. The Modifications including the ramp, seat and hand controls were serviced in February and Superior Van & Mobility in Fort Wayne.
For 17 years old the van still runs good but could use some TLC for long trips.
The brakes need some work and it could use new tires.
The cost of a new modified van is about $50,000. Thats i huge chunk of change that i know most dont have. Driving this van has given me so much independence that helped me overcome my injury. I would love to see this van benefit someone else in a wheelchair or who needs accessible transportation.
For that reason I am selling the van as is for 3000 OBO.
Please feel free to share if you know someone who needs Accessible Transportation !
