This is the Levi Garrett Camaro that was in all the car and racing magazines back in the day. This is an opportunity to own something that truly is one of kind. Peerless Chassis #861 was run in the IMSA GTO series from 1986 -89. Drivers included Jack Baldwin, Buz McCall, Tom Kendall , David Hobbs and Jeff Bodine. This is the first sportscar with a Carbonfiber tub, up until this point in racing Carbonfiber tubs were only in IndyCar and F1. This extraordinary Camaro has airjacks, very unique stressmounted engine and March Indy car front suspension components. This was a true factory owned race car. Photos show just a few pieces of the very extensive documentation. Lots of General Motors paperwork. History includes Daytona 24 Hour and Sebring 12 Hour. This amazing piece of racing history has run multiple times at Monterey Motorsports Reunion. The motor is a Katech Engineering period piece that is ready to go. The spares package is very extensive, included are suspension, brakes, bearings, large number of BBS wheels, body panels, extra differential and many more items.
