1991 Chevy c6500, it has a cat 3116 diesel, and 5speed manual transmission with 306k on the odometer. I have put about 150-200 miles on the truck. . due to medical issues i cannot easily drive a truck with a heavy clutch.
I bought this from the sheriff"s department as a seizure. i do not know why it was seized. . however the frame, axles, engine, etc. all look extremely clean like someone was making it really nice.
Here is my experience:
Mechanically: engine runs fine, trans shifts fine, HYDRAULIC brakes work fine (no cdl required), steering works fine. tops out around 80mph. tires are in OK shape, TONS of tread but the outters are starting to develop a little cracking due to sitting (i mainly noticed this on the right rear but i did not look them over ultra close).
it has an approx. 14" flatbed (i"ll measure later) with a dove tail. there is a compartment in the rear of the dove tail which houses 2 ramps to load your equipment and space for chains/straps and it has a hitch receiver. body is all rust free.
interior is in decent shape with exception to the headliner which is in POOR condition. it has a newer dash in there but the old cluster is just sitting in there (though it does work). power windows, and power locks work. However radio, headlights and hvac do not function, i have not looked into it AT ALL.
i started to clean off the bedliner paint on it but. . didn"t finish so it"s not the prettiest. i"ll include the black paint i bought for it if wanted. finish cleaning that off and give it a fresh coat of paint and it"ll look great. in the photo"s it is dusty. . due to the aforementioned medical issues (spine), i didn"t really feel like going out there and washing that behemoth, besides i live in arizona so "dust" is just a coating you live with.
Payments and other information: i"d prefer Cash or Zelle for payment. this unit has a clean/clear Arizona title in my name. Selling because we are liquidating everything for an anticipated east coast move.
To out of state buyers: i have no issue with assisting in shipping, or repairs (such as if you wanted to have a mechanic come out and look at the lights, or get the outter tires replaced) at the buyers expense. i also have no issue with preview/inspections.
