Vehicle description
Up for sale is a 1957 Chevy BelAir steel body drag car. I’m listing this for a retired buddy of mine who no longer wishes to race it and just wants to sell it, no trades. Car has a clear title, ready to go. This is not a gutted race car, everything that came with the car originally still works down to the original gas gauge and dash lights, no lexan all factory glass. Car even has the original keys to start it, no toggles, just one emergency kill switch on the shifter. It’s equipped with an 8pt Cage certified to 8.50. Glass Hood and Bumpers, everything else is steel. The car was last raced in 2012, that’s when the fresh motor went in, there are no track passes on this motor. This is a purpose built race car, not a show car, he is only the 2 nd owner of the car. The motor is a 555 Merlin Big Block, Dart Heads, Port and Polish by Slavko, H-Beam Rods, 13.5 compression, Comp Roller Cam, MSD 7AL3, BG400 Fuel system. Motor Dyno’d right around 865hp, all motor, we have the paperwork. Transmission is a built TH400 with Brake, Trans Specialties Converter 4200 rpm. Rear is a Narrowed Dana 60 with 4:56 gears. Rear is fitted with a set of 14 32 tires on bead-lock rims, drag fronts. Car is a back-halved with ladder bars and Koni coil overs with stock frame to the front, tubular A-Arms, Rack and Pinion steering, wilwoods all 4 corners. Car has the original Hood Bar and Rockets, not shown. Video isn"t the best but I had it so I included it. https:/ www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fXyWhHcZ0A&feature=youtu.be Car can be seen please call or email me for any additional information. Thanks for Looking.
