CONDITION This is a GMC Gasoline School Bus with a Ward Volunteer 65 passenger body. It has got the big block GM/Chevy 366 V-8 motor. Gas engine full size buses are pretty hard to find these days as most are long gone from active use. I bought this bus in the late spring from a local school district. I was told it had been sitting for a few years. I put a new battery in it and pumped the gas pedal a few times and it fired up. It runs and drives pretty good. The gas engines are much quieter than the diesel and they seem to go faster. It can run 65mph fairly easily. Gas mileage is not that great. The exterior needs a good pressure washing to get mildew off from sitting so long. The interior is actually pretty clean. There is a dash light that says BRAKE that stays on all the time but I didn"t find any issue with the brakes and they seem to work normally. The tires are 9R20s and have anywhere from 5 to 25% tread. There is some slight age related cracking showing on the rear tires. These odometers didn"t have six digits but I am assuming it has turned over once and is at 122,000+.
