A completely unique custom mobile office bus/ van unit that can be utilized for a variety of purposes. This unit would be great for a designer, contractor, or as a retail show room. Originally built by Champion Bus as a book mobile for the City of New York at a cost of over $100K. The unit was recently updated with new shelves, storage, desks, and display units. This is a one of a kind office unit that sits low to the ground so you have a full head height interior while keeping a smaller overall footprint. Features of this unit include:
- A strong 7.3 liter diesel engine with under 50K miles. Recently serviced and runs excellent. - 7,500 Watt Onan/ Cummins diesel generator. Brushes replaced in 2014 and unit runs excellent. - Completely wired for electric with multiple power outlets and small service breaker panel on board. - New serpentine belt replaced last year. - Custom wrap around desk work stations with lexan work tops and stainless steel facing. - Plenty of storage with custom cabinets over the wheel wells and custom cabinets up top. - Slat board product display area with room for plenty of pamphlets, signs, or samples. - 32" flat screen TV that has a motorized support to raise the unit out of the way when not in use. - New sound system on the drivers side with bluetooth, GPS, etc. - Microwave and refrigerator. - Custom scene lights on the side and mount to install a 52" TV on the outside. - Brand new air suspension system installed in 2016 that allows the unit to be manually raised and leveled. - Cab was repainted in 2016. - Tires are like new. replaced in late 2015 and barely driven.
In full disclosure there are a few items that are minor but you should be aware of:
- I replaced the speed sensor a few years ago but because the vehicle is custom I had to use a standard Ford sensor. everything works fine but the speedometer registers the wrong speed (about 20 mph too fast). It has a digital tachometer and charge control completely separate so this has never been an issue. It records the miles driven correctly. - The exhaust tail pipe has a small hole in it but the main part of the pipe is fine so we never replaced. This has not affect on the vehicle sound. Probably a couple hundred to replace. - Normal wear and tear on the interior with a couple molding that need to be repaired/ replaced. The floor is in fair condition, but could use a replacement in the next few years (in my opinion). - Side doors switch has been disconnected and are manual only. - The backup camera does not work. The new radio we put in is camera ready though and one can easily be added. We just never go around to it. - Outside is mostly mint but there is some minor bends at the very botton of the sheet metal that are almost imperceptible. I had the bumper grill and mirrors replaced last year because they were chipping/ dull. We had the cab, bumpers, and wheels painted as well.
This unit was built in 1999 but looks much newer. You will not find another vehicle like this. The unit is front wheel drive which makes it great in all weather and allows the unit full head height in a much lower foot print. I have over 20K invested. We are selling because our business model has changed and we can"t utilize this unit to its fullest potential. Our loss is your gain.
