Vehicle description

1965 Cessna 337 Super Skymaster project, for parts or rebuild 1965 Cessna 337 Super Skymaster project, for rebuild or use as a parts source for your own project. I purchased this two years ago after a previous owner forgot to lower the gear and skidded it in at the Somerset airport in New Jersey. I pulled a couple parts from it, including the rear prop, but the plane is as you see in the pics. The belly needs new skins or patches and definitely needs new props, possibly a teardown and rebuild on the engines. Nice airframe with most of the damage confined to the rear of the belly and left main gear doors. I moved before I could do much with it and it looks like I won"t be able to do much with it anytime soon, so I need to let it go. The avionics installed were a Garmin GNS 750, King 155, KT76A, Aspen panel. These are not in, but the racks and connectors are still there for the transponder and KX155, and the KI-209 for the 155. A King KMA-24 is still installed. The most recent airframe logbook was lost before I purchased it, and I haven"t been able to track it down. The previous airframe logs plus the engine and prop logs puts the total airframe time at about 3350 hours or so. Could start a new airframe log if you were to restore the plane, or just part it out. Factory reman engines have about 800 hours each but really need to be gone through before running. Aircraft is as is, where is. I highly encourage you to look it over yourself or have it looked over by a competent person(s) as this is a no reserve auction and the high bidder will own an airplane at the end of the auction. No, I do not know how much it would cost to get it flying. I"ll pay for 30 days of tiedown, but after that it"s at your expense at $95 per month from the Somerset Airport folks. Good people and easy to work with. A nonrefundable deposit of $500 will be required within 24 hours of auction end, with the balance due within 7 days of auction end. At that point I will Fedex to you the logbooks, keys, and the bill of sale and you will own this plane. Don"t bid if you don"t want to own it.
