Vehicle description
This is for a BMW I spent 10 years building. This car was featured in a 2003 edition of European Car Mag and is still one of the fastest BMW"s on the road for under 6 figures. I have personally driven it at 184 MPH and it had more power (on the tach) available, this is a 200 mph plus car. It is a PERFECT car for the Silver State Classic Challenge race (Needs a rollbar.) and it super competitive in the under 3 liter racing class.
The engine is a 4th stage IMSA fully built race engine built by Ray Korman of Korman BMW. It has a stroked ported polished M 20 2.7 liter engine that puts out over 15% more torque then horse power and will set you back in the seat quite well. Every port was matched to the intake - exhaust. It features a 272 Shrick cam, Race rockers and a lightened rod set attached to the forged race crank. Oversized throttle body and air intake. Headers by Korman. There is nothing else (other then to add a turbo OMG!) that you can really do to this car in terms of performance.
At 184 MPH it was tight as a drum, and we had power left but it head that speed for some time and handling was no different then at 65. It will do 90 in a freeway on ramp. Really.
The engine has about 70,000 miles on it and is tight. This car is a 4 wheel go cart.
The brakes on the car are the Movit/Porsche Brembo "big reds" and will stop the car on a dime. Five speed manual trans with a Limited Slip rear end make this a 4 door rocket sled. The car has had ever mount replaced with new rubber in the on the body and in every place the car would allow it.
It has a Dinan Camber plate system on the front that allows this car to track unlike any BMW on the road. A polished aluminum strut brace ties the front end together. Koni shocks were bump stock cut to new spec and are tighter then a drum.
The interior has a number of treatments including a White Dash, Momo Wheel and interior accessories shit knob and foot petals. The drivers seat is new leather and leather is included to recover the right seat for the new owner. It has a RACING HARNESS 3" ALL WRAP BELT on the driver side.
The car was broken into and the stereo was stolen but the 2 Amplifiers and the crossover system as well as the bass speakers in the trunk are all intact. The body is perfect, and it does need some cosmetic work, i.e. a right front bumper mount, new right rear tail light lens. A fresh coat of paint and some interior work, this is a show-car unlike anything on the road.
The body has a M 5 front spoiler, and it features 17 inch Momo wheels. The car has Headers and a intake system that is NOT CA CARB. but it has a cat on it still. It was originally a CA car.
I have about 70k on the car since the build and restoration. . It is in Lake Forest, CA and your welcome to come see it for yourself.
