Up is a 1984 BMW 533i ex-Chump Race car. Use for track days, BMWCCA events, Chump Car, Lemons? I purchased over a year ago to race in the Chump Car series and/or Lemons and life has gotten in the way. Ex-Chump Car that was last raced in the series in 2013 other than some misc track days (and midnight blasts on the road). Was campaigned and reliable.
Features: 1984 BMW 533i - M30B33 Engine 5spd Manual Gearbox 16x7 Kosei K1 Racing wheels with tires (yes you will likely need to replace tires to race, but hold air and fine for "street use") Full welded in cage with front door bars. Last passed Chump Car tech in 2013. 2 aluminum (Kirkey?) racing seats. Drivers seat is a halo, if you are the passenger you do not get the added protection. Vet your driver accordingly. 6-point G-Force Harness drivers side. Passenger side is not. .again, vet your driver. Stock school bus sized steering wheel, BUT classy wood shift knob to impress everyone in the paddock. Call it period correct 80"s styling. No windows other than stock windshield No HVAC, heater core removed. Doors gutted-no widnow regulators, door locks, trim. Pull rope in fashionable red Electrical shut-off switch on drivers side. Exhaust is straight piped from headers back. Shiny eBay muffler to keep sound reasonable. Stylish light blue paint and painted numbers. Yeah its race car so call it a 20 footer. Interior was spray bombed white. Brake lines were replaced a couple years ago. Optima small battery Lights work, starts up easily even after sitting. Runs normal temps, stops well. Shifter is best described as "hotdog down a hallway", so suggest replacing the bushings to tighten it up. Power steering pump has develop a moan that does not want to stop. Still works, so not replaced. Black fender is a replacement after a "racing incident", but dented original blue one is included in case you with to install to "intimidate" the competition.
It does have a title for it (Virginia) and it was actually registered in that state and had a plate for it as well (street legal? ).
Racing season is upon us and life is in the way of me competing this car this year. Offering it up at NO RESERVE.
