OK guys, here"s a great opportunity for you to acquire a fully done race car. Ready to race for NASA GTS3/2 or ST4, scca, bmwcca, etc. Would also be a great, safe car for advancing through DE or time trials.
My father is an avid Formula Ford racer, but also wanted to be able to race with me in GTS3, etc. so he commissioned Leroy Moore from Flatout Motorwox to build a car to be competitive with mine. Leroy had this 328is shell at his shop ready for a build and began the build from scratch last summer (2017). Subframes were redone, everything from the ground up is totally rebuilt.
The cage, done by Kent Porter (subcontracting for Leroy at the time), is one of the most beautiful cages I"ve ever seen. Tig welded, tied in, etc. Look at the welds! This cage alone would cost you $8K at some shops.
Well, my dad never really got the hang of the E36. It drives too different from his little open wheel cars that he decided to move on and just focus on Formula Ford. Leroy raced the car in 1-2 races and was very competitive with our group, running middle of the pack with a car that is very heavy for GTS3. The car has been in 3-4 races with no contact.
