Hello your bidding on a 1998 Bluebird TC/2000 Bus with approximately 130,000 miles Cummins ISB 5.9L L6 diesel engine This is a type D school bus Front Engine, diesel fuel, with an Allison AT545 automatic transmission. I am listing my bus with VERY DETAILED REASONS WHY I purchased this bus because I want you to know what your bidding on, I know what I bought, and everyone sells their buses for different reasons, I want you to know why J Thanks & Happy Bidding on Bus #11 I purchased this bus from a local online auction called Purple Wave on 04/03/18. It was located in Derby Ks and was owned by the Derby School District who had retired the bus 2 years earlier when the dash cluster had failed and the school districts long time maintenance employee could not find a replacement part for the bus. They removed one of the battery’s out of the bus to use for another bus, and there it sat until I went to pick it up in Derby on 4/8/18. I was worried it wasn’t going to start as I recently found out after the bid closed it sat for 2 years. I had no guarantee, and it was an auction that was buy as is. Ya I didn’t think it was fair either but good thing it started J We bought the battery & was so glad it fired right up! I did research on the dash cluster, and it did not need replaced it needed to be calibrated as it’s a software error in the bluebird dash clusters. In fact, any used cluster would do the same, the clusters all have their own separate issues, and this certain engine/cluster was fixable. Dash cluster is being calibrated it was sent in to United Radio in New York for repair. The bus is here and does run without cluster but I recommend not driving it until cluster is here. It should be back within 10 business days. New thermostat & battery on 4/8/18 I have all maintenance records on bus RUNS GREAT! ! ! Took pics of all 4 tires up close I had hopes of converting the bus into an activity bus for toddlers but I would have needed to have more finances or investors to start the business so unfortunately, I have to put my business idea on hold now and sell this bus until it’s a better time. This is an EXCELLENT Bus the engine sat for 2 years and fired right up also for 2 years of the bus life it sat with no wear and tear to the bus preserving its young year it was made. Low miles! Also, if converting into an RV do research on this being a handicap bus they are possibly (but don’t quote me) taller than others It has a few dents and scrapes and some rust on the emergency door exit I showed all the damages I physically seen in the pics with a text in the pic as well. The bus has 2 A/C units it blows out air but doesn’t get cold I took it to a mechanic and it needs freon. Bus has heaters but I didn’t check them due to hot weather 10 miles to the gallon Cummins ISB 5.9L L6 diesel engine Has a broken window Approx-30 ft long Approx-90-92 inch tall Approx-32 inch wide Vinyl interior
