" NO RESERVE " FAMOUS BUS BUILT FOR RACE CAR DRIVER RUSTY WALLACE ! ! USED IN THE ROBIN WILLIAMS FILM "MAN OF THE YEAR"
Prevost Marathon Custom VIP Package built for Rusty Wallace in 1993(See original Build Sheet in pictures for $700,000.) I also put 2 pictures from when he first took delivery of it with the pink carpet and Interstate Battery fancy outer paint. I bought the coach last year. My wife and I purchased the bus to rent out for Airbnb. I am a car collector along with owning many business"s. I just never got around to make this ABB happen. Which is a huge business by the way. You wouldn"t believe how much money is in this Airbnb on the beach business.
Should be very successful as it has an amazing history being in the movie "Man Of The Year" used as his campaign bus. You can see the Picture of him and Christopher Walkin in the photos. After the movie it was sold to an Indy Team and used as a business coach when an elderly couple purchased it to start a limo company. . that never happened. The bus had 8 new tires put on for $4K. The bad luck started there for them as it over heated after only 100 miles. The bus was towed to Meza AZ to have a complete rebuild done on the 8V92 Detroit Diesel.This included new cylinders, sleeves,pistons,heads rebuilt everything. Also 9 batteries replaced (generator,starting batteries and coach batteries) AC fixed and all fluids changed. Only to end up selling the bus.
I drove the bus home to California from AZ without a hitch. I have a clear title in hand ready for it"s new owner. Let me tell you when I picked it up it came with a drawer full of receipts dating back almost 10 years. I about flipped as I saw they spent over $20K in repairs and upgrades.
I thought it would look amazing with a new bus wrap. They only cost about $5k and make it look like a million dollar bus. I would also put on New look bumpers.( I have a printout available if you like) This bus has always been a Southern Bus. . no bad weather (Wisconsin Plate in photo was a dealer plate only). Has a 20K Marathon Generator (on air bags,quite as can be) Satellite tv - Bose sound system-marble counters throughout-w/custom leather seating.Couches and drivers seat.
$2k Xantrex Inverter with digital interior display. Central Vacuum System-CB radio- dual stereos (driver and coach back) - Skylight in rear that opens. Rear TV/DVD Combo. New Wood Flooring throughout whole coach. Digital A/C units. - touch pad entry ( Not sure how to use) Suede/leather interior walls and ceiling. Trash compactor-New Samsung Convection Microwave-Aqua Hot- tv hookup on ceiling up front wired for dvd/satellite (Removed old one and didn"t replace). Clarion stereo up front with remote control.Power Leveling System and power sunshades on front window. I"m sure I missed a lot. Please use the pictures. Oh. .the table in back was air up and down. .i"m sure for a bed but the lines aren"t hooked up anymore. The Rear could be made into a bedroom very easily or into 4 bunks if you wanted to make it an entertainment coach. Just Google "Prevost Wraps" and see what I saw. This is the ultimate for fun or work with new powertrain, 8 new tires and all batteries. The bus drives like new with 1 finger on the wheel, Amazing. The only things that might need attention are theres a crack in one of the windshields that wont spend and is"nt in line of site but is there. There are a few other glass flaws like fogginess between dual pane glass and water in one. I think there is a way to fix this but I didn"t look into it. The bottom small parts of front mirrors are missing but can easily be replaced.
