For sale is a 1992 AM General M998 HMMWV in a 4 man soft top setup. Clean Virginia on-road title. The truck has a 6.2L GM Diesel and a 3 Speed automatic transmission (TH400). There is only 14408 miles on the odometer (may have a few more miles from being driven). The truck starts up very fast and runs great. There is no blow-by and I have video of this which I can give upon request. The body is in good shape with very few minor dings. Brush guard and front cross member have slight dent in them but are structurally sound. I have installed a new oil cooler with approximately 300mi on it, as well as a reverse light and rear license plate bracket. Installed New Idler and Pitman arms within last 100miles. The vehicle is in overall great shape, especially for its age.
Included but not installed: 4 New OEM shocks, New front/forward cross member, New plastic light and fuel filler shrouds, New front and rear amber/red side markers, new rear reflectors. If you want them, I will include 2 man parts to convert to 2 man truck: rear door blanks, rear curtain, rear bulkhead/cargo divider and brackets (just needs top).
Ball joints work great but show wear. Left rear hub needs new seals (works good but I would recommend planetary gear rebuild in the future). Interior needs new vent tubing on passenger side.
