I currently have 3 of these hummers. This one is the newest and has the least mileage. I am going to upgrade this one. I am going to paint the helmet hard top camo. I will be removing it to paint it. I am going to get some new seat cushions. I can convert it to a 4 door soft top. This has 21,687 miles on it. The engine is a 6.5 diesel and runs great it looks like new. Everything works perfectly.
I am a 30 year aircraft mechanic that decided it was more fun to buy, modify and sell these Hummers. I have many upgrade parts for them. Some people would rather modify these themselves and I will sell at a better price as is. These are built like military aircraft and require many of the same tools I use for aircraft.
These are very tough machines. You will not regret buying one of these for the fun of it.
It takes a year after you win an auction before you get the Hummer from Iron Planet. So yes you can get one at an auction and you may save some money but you will not save time or probably money.
I will sell without the hard top. The top is hard to find and is worth 3,000 by itself.
