This vehicles has the following:
-Brand new soft top -Four hard-to-find military X Doors -Full set of four brand new, never used soft doors as well - they were part of a package with the new top, but I prefer the X Doors so never used them -6.2L Diesel 3 Speed Auto Trans -Brand new glow plugs (fires right up!) -3-point seat belts (the rear two are brand new and official military version) -Upgraded official front seats and back seats out of a jeep -Two batteries that are less than 2 years old -All maintenance up to date -Goodyear 37x12.50R16.5 tires in good shape -New rear license plate frame -Reverse light (not yet installed) -Part to turn back into a 2-seater truck (it originally was) including the barrier and fittings for the doors
I purchase this vehicle from a military collector out of IL. It has a street-legal IL title. However, when I tried to transfer it to MN, they issued me plates, I drove it for 8 months, then before issuing me a new title, the state level said this cannot be street legal in MN. They made me give my plates back in, returned me the original title (although it is signed over to me) and I purchase an off road license for it.
So it has an IL on-road title, but signed over to me.
The doors come off very easily (about 30 seconds per door), the windows come down (the glass part) if you want to drive with the windows open, and this vehicle is made so you don"t need to be an expert to change things (it was made for the military - so meant to be easy to replace or repair parts!). The top takes about 10 minutes to get off (basically twist a bunch of tabs and it pops out.
The X-Doors were purchased separately from the Humvee, so you can see in the pictures, it is not a perfect match in color. I was planning on putting Line-X on the whole vehicle this summer, but they have this exact color paint in spray cans that can easily and quickly be painted to march the rest of the vehicle.
If you"re not far from MN, any serious buyer is welcome to come on by and take it for a drive - we have acreage outside of town, so can test it out both on road and off road!
I kept it in the garage all winter and it just finally got nice again in MN. This was the most fun vehicle I ever owned. I own a viper and rarely took it out last summer to drive this around instead!
