Vehicle description
This is a VGC AM General XM818 in 4x6. 14L Cummins diesel, 5sp. Dual fuel tanks. Body is VG overall. Metal framing around the tiltable windshields could use replacing. Drivers door glass is cracked (New glass included) Driver"s side windshield is cracked. Springer seats are in VG/Ex condition. Keyed ignition. Has heater in cab. Includes original front axle. Bought this as a project truck, to finish what the previous owner started but a change in my work requirements means putting this off until who knows when. .
Rear box is from a M109. It has dual barn doors and includes the ladder for entry. Previous owner began to strip the interior in order to convert to a small RV. Box is in VG/Exc condition, showing no leaks or structural problems. Box features 7 windows that feature screens and can be opened for venting. Windows have protective covers on the outside that can be opened or closed to protect them. Truck includes various spare parts and accessories such as glad hands, air hoses, 12/24V power distribution box, 50ft slave/jumper, new shocks, etc. .
Truck was parked several months ago, anti-gel was added to the fuel and the batteries were pulled and put on a maintenance charger. Truck ran and drove well at that time. Cab tag shows truck rehab in 1991 with approx 18k miles. Tires are in Exc condition and show no cracking or problems. Axles, tranny, engine show no abnormal leaks or issues at this time.
Of course, as a almost 40 year old truck, there are no warranties expressed or implied. Interested parties are encouraged to ask questions and I will answer the best I can as I am not an expert in these trucks.
$1000, non-refundable deposit required within 48hrs. I will, as a courtesy, hold the truck for 30 days for balance of payment. After 30 days, if balance is not paid, deposit is forfeited by buyer and truck will be relisted. Buyer is responsible for setting up and following through with pick-up and delivery as I travel a lot for work.
