1993 Humvee M998 has a 6.5L diesel engine with a 3-speed auto transmission. ONLY ~28k miles. This is my second Humvee that I have cleaned up and fully maintained. 100% real Humvee that is street legal with title ready for the next owner.
Fully maintained; a new oil change, coolant flush, front and rear end fluid change. Also each wheel gear set fluid was changed. Performed a brake flush and installed new rear brakes, pads and rotors. This vehicle also received a new rear brake caliber due to being seized when I first got the vehicle. I also replace tires; current tread life 80 to 85%.
The exterior: a new flat black paint job, the soft top is black winter insulated with a rear curtain to close the cabin up behind the rear seats. This provides the 4 door Humvee with a small truck bed in the back. The bed of the truck has a Hercules bed liner for a tougher protection. All lights working: low beams, high beams and turn signals.
The interior: is fully stock as the military would have had it. Interior has been fully cleaned, added a black painted engine cover and a new black center wood cover for the middle of the truck. This truck has a new ignition switch with 2 keys for safe parking. All the switches, gauges, wipers and horn work. For winter the Heater system works REALLY well, so no worry"s on being cold while driving. The Humvee"s front passenger seat is a captains" seat. I have a matching captains" seat for the driver but no mounting bracket. I will give the seat to the new owner.
2 flaws: 1) the Humvee has an exterior crack on the outside of hood which was there when I purchased it 2) The passenger rear door window stitching at the top corner has started to come loose.
This Humvee runs really good; starts right up and drives everywhere you want. If you"re looking for something to drive every day or just on the weekends. Plus the looks you get while driving a sleek flat black Humvee may draw attention.
