1983 AM General M925 5 ton army truck for sale. Cummins NHC 250 diesel, Allison automatic transmission. Runs and drives great, I wouldn"t hesitate to drive it anywhere. 21,884 miles and 807 hours. 20,000 pound hydraulic winch with 300" of new 5/8" winch cable. Since the truck already has the PTO and hydraulic pump installed it would be easy to convert to a water truck if you wanted to use it for work. 6x6 works. All lights and gauges work. 4 Hawker batteries. Has the very desirable hard top and rear cargo cover. Dual rear tires are much easier to deal with than super singles if you ever happen to have a flat. Also has the battery relocation kit to move the batteries safely to the outside of the truck rather than underneath the passenger seat.
Everything on the truck works, like all old vehicles it has a few TLC things that can be done (one sensor should be replaced and fix a ground wire come to mind) but nothing that affects usability. Has never dripped any fluids on the ground in the 5 years I"ve had it since buying it straight from the government. Clean title with current Historic Vehicle registration. Includes the heavy duty 5/8" chain wrapped on the bumper, unused spare tire, 2 new floor mats, extra drivers seat, set of printed manuals, extra headlights and other bulbs, extra bumper shackles, wheel chocks, a medium towbar with feet, and many other extras.
