1988 M998 HMMWV FOR SALE
Up for sale in time for C h r i s t m a s is a fully reconditioned 1989 Am-General M998 Military HMMWV. Can you imagine the face of the person who could get this amazing vehicle for a Christmas gift! This HMMWV has been completely gone through and serviced. We have also made some major upgrades to it that make the truck stand out from the crowd and be more drivable. This HMMWV has the rare (Helmet top) which gives you extra head-room. This top also has external lockable storage and a huge cargo area for lots of gear. We installed aluminum hard doors with sliding windows to keep out the elements. The doors also include arm rests and cup holders to make a long drive more comfortable. We installed super comfortable high back leather seats which make the ride really nice. We installed custom dimmable interior LED lighting. All the exterior lights have been upgraded to LED with new stainless steel hardware. We installed new windshields & mirrors which is a huge upgrade compared to old faded glass that you see on these trucks. Lastly, we installed a light bar for those late night off road trips or just to see better wherever you are. Mechanically this HMMWV is equipped with the 6.2 liter diesel with an automatic transmission. The number of new parts are too many to list here, but just a few items are, a new 200amp generator (an upgrade from stock), two new heavy duty Batteries, CV boots, Steering components and a new water pump. The cooling system was completely flushed, treated and refilled with the correct coolant. All the hubs, differentials and the transfer case were serviced, the transmission was serviced with a new filter and lastly the engine oil + filter service. The tires are practically new and the brakes stop amazingly well. This vehicle has 22,800 miles on the original chassis and running gear so it is barely broken in. This military HMMWV is fully titled and registered in the state of VA and is ready for those outdoor adventures. As you can see we went through this HMMWV in great detail, not just aesthetically but most importantly mechanically. If you are looking for an off road vehicle that will safely carry you and your gear through the winter tundra and get you back, this is the vehicle for you. You will not find a more capable off road vehicle on the planet.
