Vehicle description
Airstream Trailer 2005 25" Classic Twin. Well I used my Airstream trailer for the first time in 2 years,(probably 6th time in total), to Colorado recently. I had never had it out on a couple thousand mile jaunt (previous maybe 75 miles to lake) and I have to say I was impressed with how easily it followed along. One thing I never considered was how much "extra" equipment I would have had to buy that came with my trailer i.e. electric cables, the anti-sway bar system, electric hitch lift and super heavy receiver hitch that all come with the trailer. I would even consider delivering it with in 500 miles of Des Moines Iowa if my scheduling allowed. So in my opinion the trailer and exterior could be considered in good shape and any dings I have tried to show in pictures. As second owner I believe the retired couple who traded it in did not heavily use it as well. Heck, I have not slept 2 weeks total in it since buying and It is still winterized actually from fall 2018! But back to the facts here. . . . . . When I called the dealer to originally purchase my Airstream I asked him what model he owned and it was the one I eventually purchased a "Classic". I now understand why with lots of features that come standard. Also notable I at the time of purchase (receipts in pics), upgraded to LED lights, put in a TV, new tires and a wi-fi ranger. It has an old small I think solar panel on roof so I suspect you can easily add solar? My original intentions were for the trailer to be my traveling office during a semi retirement hunting and fishing but with the set backs of Covid that plan must be delayed. But I am far along with the customization in that direction with removal of the old valences, new Marmoleum flooring replacing the carpet, the removal of the sleeper couch (still have it if wanted) and install of custom made collapsible table and benches. I have not constructed the cushions for the dinette as that may be a design feature new owner does to their tastes. We also made custom tops for the front cupboards. Added a polished aluminum panel here and there and silver accent trim. I like the twin bed arrangement especially figuring I would be bringing along a fishing buddy occasionally. Being Chefs my wife and I had kitchen concerns but its actually quite functional with 3 burners, oven, microwave and spacious refrigerator/freezer. The owners manual is quite the full ring binder and the cute Zippy Dee chairs with storage compartment complete the look!
