Vehicle description
Up for auction is a 1946 Aeronca Chief 11AC. This is a no reserve auction, so bid with confidence. This aircraft was due for an annual a number of years ago. A freelance mechanic started on the annual inspection and then took off with the records without completing the inspection. It took 3 years to recover the logs and keys. The aircraft remained parked in this space to this day. Due to other commitments I have had no time to go back to it. The condition is as seen in the pictures. The aircraft is non flying and is sold where is as is. The aircraft is tied down at Glendale Airport (GEU) in Arizona. Buyer is responsible for pick up. This aircraft qualifies for the light sport category. All logs are present except 1 from the 50s. The aircraft has a Continental A65-8 Engine. The engine is complete except for a couple of hoses the mechanic removed during the annual inspection. This makes a good project for the right person or you can use it for parts. Payment required via PayPal within 72 hours of the end of the auction .Good luck and happy bidding!
