Vehicle description
It’s time to sell our beloved Adventure Van…We purchased this rare 2003 Ford E250 5.4L V8 from the original owner in San Diego, CA years back with only 36,000 miles. We have loved and cared for her through all our adventures. And we have meticulously maintained her at our 5-star rated family mechanic of 30 years. This Class C conversion van (never worry about parking on the street) has camped the best of the southwest like Zion, Bryce, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Sierras, Big Sur and up to Oregon and Washington. She was our toy-hauler for our motorcycle (it fits inside!) and happy to pull a medium size travel trailer up the steepest hills. She has an electric trailer brake system and hitch is included. Also included is a folding ramp, removable wheel chock, and handle-bar tie downs so you can haul your motorcycle/bikes.Last year, we decided to give her a complete make-over inside and out. On the exterior we gave her new Magnetic Grey Paint (a Toyota Tacoma color), the biggest wheels and tires that could fit, fresh lights all around, new grill guard, light bar, extending tow mirrors (electric) and more. Then, we completely renovated the interior camper from the frame out with new floor, all new cabinets, new sink and water system, 2-burner Suburban stove, Dometic 12v fridge, 100 watt solar/electrical with 1000/2000 watt inverter and 100 amp deep cycle AGM battery from WindyNation, and even fresh paint. We added quick release for the propane system so you can easily switch between tanks and use tank for different applications while camping (3 gallon is included). We also oriented the space so you can either use a full-size bed on the bed slats OR a twin size bed on the floor. There is a ceiling vent with vent fan.We are including some cooking equipment/eatery, matching dickey’s sunshade, original snow cables, original bottle jack system and the original owner’s manual. The front cab is super clean except for sunfade on the carpet. We had swivel seat bases installed awhile back and recently added new bucket seats for her. That means you can turn around one or both front seats to create an awesome living space (highly desirable modification). There is a newer android touch screen with everything including a backup camera. Also an alarm with keyless entry.VIDEO COMING SOONAll that and more amounts to an investment of somewhere in the neighborhood of $12,000 in the past year or so.Our plan was to keep her forever… she still only has 84,000 miles!Unfortunately, times have changed and the world has gotten itself all mixed up. We recently purchased a large trailer to work/travel and it requires a 1-ton tow vehicle – we just can’t keep our Adventure Van.Clean title in hand. Smog Certificate will be provided for CA buyers. We will be happy to answer any questions! Please message us on ebay or see add on San Diego CL._ _Bucket list:Our adventure van is mostly new, fully functional, and ready to go anywhere. However, there are a few things on the list that you may want to address someday (already considered in pricing):- Add curtains, rods are already installed- Full or twin bed, inflatable or foam recommended- Stain or oil for new cabinets (we left raw for new owners, but we can stain/treat for you for a fee)- We have new seat belt receivers and covers to match new seats, but never installed (original receivers are still installed and functional)- AC blows cold and works great, but comes out of top and bottom vents only. . probably needs simple actuator repair around $100-200.- Two small dings in rear barn doors (see photo), and maybe one very small ding elsewhere… no paint damage_ _About water system:We decided to utilize a foot pump system (like on a ship galley) when we upgraded. It helps to conserve water as you can control the flow. This pump works on lever press and depress, so it delivers a constant flow at whatever pressure you apply (see video). Very easy to use and includes NEW two 6-gallon fresh water tanks and two 3-gallon dirty tanks that can be switched around so you never get stuck with no water or too much waste water. You CAN easily add an electric pump if desired by running a line to the fuse panel in the electric cabinet. But, we recommend giving our system a try first because it is our preference after many years of experimentation in many different adventure situations._ _Search words: Camper, Campervan Camper Van, E150 E250 E350, Sportsmobile, Conversion Van, Bug-out Van
