This 1976 GMC MotorHome is a 26-foot model. Of the 12,921 produced from 1973-78 approximately 8,500 are currently registered with one of the many social media groups dedicated to technical support. Due to their timeless popularity there are currently several companies throughout the United States that offer a complete list of parts and specialize in mechanical and remodeling services.This is a rare example of an unmolested, outstanding original condition GMC. Inside is a 9.5 outside is 9. It’s Finished in Sand color with yellow and brown stripes. It is powered by a 455ci Oldsmobile V8 that sends power to the front wheels via a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. The interior features a dining area which slides into a twin bed, a love seat, rear twin beds and side bathroom referred to as dry as the shower is separate from the toilet. It has a hand held shower head, storage and sink. The kitchen area is equipped with a Norcold fridge, microwave, sink, an oven, and multiple wood storage cabinets. Additional features include rooftop mounted heating and air conditioning controlled by a dial-type thermostat, a side-entry door, roll-out awning, rear receiver hitch and a front receiver hitch too. Produced from 1973 until 1978, the MotorHome was designed and built in-house by GM, with the interiors completed by the Gemini Corporation of Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Features include chrome bumpers and trim, a ladder for roof top access, rear-mounted receiver hitch and a rooftop storage box (the storage box has a crack) The windshield and windows have zero clouding. The eight-lug steel wheels with original GMC hub caps are wrapped in Firestone Transforce tires with a full-size covered lockable spare affixed to the rear. The RV features adjustable air suspension for the back four wheels, and stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums.The cabin features mauve fabric-upholstered captain’s chairs along with beige carpeting and a brown vinyl wraparound dashboard. The dashboard has no cracking and is not brittle. Amenities include a central storage tray with dual cupholders, a Sony AM/FM cassette stereo, air conditioning, sliding side windows with screens, and rocker switches for vehicle functions. The cushioned GMC steering wheel sits ahead of a faux woodgrain-accented instrument panel housing an 85-mph speedometer, a combination gauge for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure and a VDO oil temperature gauge. An air pressure gauge along with controls for the air suspension are found low right of the driver, and an aftermarket speaker is mounted atop the dash. The five-digit odometer shows just under 80k miles.The living space features a fold-away dining table with two bench seats that can be converted into a twin bed across from the loveseat which i located behind the drivers seat. The kitchenette includes a countertop with a built-in sink, 4 burner range with oven, a microwave, and multiple storage cabinets. The 6,000-watt generator has a new ignition coil and operates smoothly from an interior on/off remote switch. The bathroom with a toilet, sink, storage area, and handheld shower sprayer is adjacent to the rear sleeping area which contains vanilla curtain-lined windows along with overhead storage compartments. Additional features include reading lamps above each bed, along with a dial-operated thermostat controlling a central heating and air conditioning system.The 455ci V8 was shared with the Oldsmobile Toronado and sends power to the front wheels through a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic transmission. An oil change was performed in August 2021. The coach also offers a factory rocker switch between the house and engine batteries allowing one to jump start the other if ever needed. This is my 3rd GMC Coach and I"ve been in countless. This is by far the cleanest, best condition one I"ve been in. It has no odors. The headliner throughout is in amazing condition as is the fabric is in excellent. I have many, many more photos to provide upon request.
