1992 M998, I purchased from iron planet back in 2016. Went to Fort Meade to pick it up. Bored with the 6.2 diesel, I had a vision of how a humvee should perform. I had a 565 cubic inch Tall Deck Bow Tie block with Merlin heads built. The 24v starter, the alternator, the power steering, pulleys, etc, are all stock Am general. All existing front of engine brackets (including custom starter bracket) were slightly modified in order to adapt to the big block. Looks factory and performs as though it is. The idea was to just slip a new higher power engine in place of what was already in place. That is what has been done. Engine is around 700 horse, on pump gas, naturally aspirated. Slightly higher torque. Stock 3 speed trans and converter. Operate great. Stock flywheel and damper (entire assembly is balanced). The engine is all forged components, carrillo rods, carr bolts, inconel valves, 7/16 pushrods. Built to be as strong as possible. 5 Beadlock Raceline wheels with 40" Nitto trail grappler tires. Dual optima red top batteries with 1200 series digital charger. Air fuel meter. T304 stainless custom tig welded exhaust system with dual magnaflow mufflers. Ultra 40 wires. DUI distributor. Scares old ladies and children. It will bark all 4 in dry take offs. I dont beat on it, but it can take a beating. Could use a lift kit to clear tires on extreme tight radius turns. Custom dog house to clear tall deck distributor. Hood had to be clearanced for air cleaner snorkel to fit. Steering is tight and very straight. The pitman arm is updated. The parking brake is strong and can hold on any incline. The charging system operates well. Oil pressure is strong. All lights work. All fluids are fresh. The only thing that doesn"t work is the windshield squirter and the guage for the air filter. The paint is just ok. The interior is just ok, the hummer itself has 19k miles, the engine and all parts I had put on only have around 200 miles. It has been sitting outside for a few seasons since it no longer fits in my garage with the wheels and tires I bought. Have all receipts. Im not sure how to obtain a title for this. Ny dmv said No. So, I bought a 1979 amc jeep pickup title, registered it and put the plates on the hummer. I"ve been perfectly content driving it around with this regi for the last 2 years without issue. That is the title you will get. You will also get all the iron planet forms too. 845 4o5 93l6 .
