Vehicle description
NO RESERVE 1985 Airstream Excella 34 ft triple axle. Priced very right: A very nice-clean not all dented up exterior aluminum skin or painted up interior but rather original factory black walnut finish. An excellent start for a polished gem If you"re looking for that kind of project, Or enjoy with the "from the factory finish" as it currently is: It"s still in nice shape washout the usual top corner dents like so many others have, I bought this top of the line 34 ft tri axle Airstream Excella travel trailer around 15 years ago from a couple in Florida who used it once a year for their vacation, With new tires put on it was then brought home to Minnesota and I removed the front hide-a- bed sofa and all carpeting and started to put in a new tongue and groove oxblood color prefinished "real wood" hardwood floor. It is only completed so far to about 20" in from the door side of the trailer and the rest not yet finished and still in the long boxes from Lumber liquidators, There is more than what is needed to finish the entire trailer all the way to the rear bedroom in unopened boxes down the hallway, All of the rest of the interior is there and complete and in place but the floor needs finishing of the install, The real wood is pre finished, As you can see the main curbside awning fabric was shot so after I took these pics taken of it hear, I cut it off along the top, The hardware is all there but needs a new " and available" Sunbrella canvas replacement slide in, The other awnings are in much better shape and all there, After a couple of years in Minnesota The Airstream then traveled from my home to my place in Deadwood South Dakota where it has been parked and visited as a cabin for several years, The tires have been mostly covered from the sun and weather except for picture taking, The new floor work is still unfinished, and has no front sofa/bed. After all: Who wants to work when on a vacation in the Black Hills? The rear bedroom is with the twin beds that I use with a center board making one big full width single bed, cut just don"t use the middle and it"s two twins again, Note that It has the twin outside storage compartments on each side instead of just from the back. The roof air fiberglass cover needs replacing as the pics show, and it hasn"t been used in a few years as the site it is parked on has no electric to test it. Someone with a vehicle trespassed on the site where it is parked and bumped into the front curbside lower corner with their vehicle while turning around, This minor damage is reflected in the reduced price. It is shown in the last pictures for a zoom of the damage close up on your computer, The damage is only on the below the window curved aluminum piece ( a $500-$600 item on the internet from Airstream) located only between the inside of the side rivets on the panel sides of the radiused right bottom corner panel only, I don"t know if ( I haven"t tried) it can be lightly hammered back out, and to look satisfactory, or if a new available Airstream panel needs to be riveted in, The optional Airstream body armor usually is mounted over this panel so I think it can be acceptably formed back into shape, There are no punctures or holes in the bent piece. These panels are easily available from Airstream, It is only the one corner piece that is damaged as seen in the pics, There is No damage on either of the outer sides of the rivets or to the adjacent panels, or above to the top edge piece, Great weather tight trailer that hasn"t many miles, as it has just been my mountain cabin retreat visited a couple of times, I just cant get away as much as I used to, Feel free to ask any questions or send phone # if you want to chat, This is a re-list from a recent sale of $25 K: now no reserve starting under $20 K. So Please make sure you have your financing arranged and secured before you bid, $500.00 none refundable security payment within 48 hours by Person to Person bank wire so (contact me if you win) and the same for the balance within 7 days of winning or before trailer pickup if sooner, If paid for it can stay put for a while before being picked up, But the snow can get deep in Deadwood, Of course this trailer is used and there are No warranties: Sold where is as is. I will drive out from Minnesota to aid you in locating and removing the trailer from my mountain site. The Airstream trailer is offered for sale locally so I reserve the right to remove it at any time.
