Vehicle description
I am selling my project teardrop camper that I built over the last year. I am moving for school and cannot finish/use it. I built this camper from scratch with aluminum framework, steel axle, and plywood shell. This is different from other trailers as it features a sturdy welded aluminum frame. This also means that it is light and can be pulled with smaller vehicles. Also, the trailer is insulated on all surfaces which means that it will be comfortable to camp in during the winter. The dimensions of the trailer are 5x8 and the sleeping area is roughly 5x6 with a full mattress inside. In the back, the hatch opens to the kitchenette area which has a mini fridge, sink, and a propane stove. The camper comes with an rv battery in front and a propane bottle hookup. Inside you can also find reading lights as well as powerful indoor lights. All lighting on the trailer is LED. Battery and a propane hook up can be found in the box on the tongue of the trailer. With the battery, there is a battery charger and the trailer can be plugged in to supply outlets on the inside. Also, there is an 750W inverter which uses the battery to supply the power to the outlets. On the roof there is a vent and on the side is a window that can open. Everything but the roof carriers and the hatch are water sealed. The trailer with a good load was tested up to 80mph on the interstate and there were no problems. There are several small details that need to be finished. The hatch needs to be canvassed and painted and the roof carriers need to be welded or removed. Water tanks, water pump and faucet need to be installed. Some other small things need to be done but otherwise the camper is ready to be used. I feel bad that I need to let this trailer go because I put a lot of work and money in it. It might not be the prettiest trailer out there, but it sure is more convenient and spacious than many. Contact me with any questions. I don"t give any guarantees and you need to understand that it still needs some light work done as described above. If you have some extra time this summer this would be a great way of traveling in the fall/winter. Delivery within central TN/north AL can be arranged for a small fee.
