“We call it better than new because we had numerous things repaired or adjusted that were not right coming out of the factory. We paid to have a dealer move the rear levelers slightly forward and raised a little so they wouldn't drag on severe dips in the road. Added a coach battery. Had the slides adjusted, etc. Otherwise it is as new.” |

Vehicle description
Better than new. 32 ft., 2018 Gulf Stream B Touring Cruiser, Model 5316, on a 2017 Ford E450 chassis with a V10, gasoline-powered engine. Less than 10,000 miles total. Big enough for comfort, small enough to drive easily. Bought in late Aug. "17, took it for a continuous five-month tour. All systems now function beautifully.
The class is B+ . It is like a Class C only there is not a bed over the cab. We liked that because it gives a better view of the mountains, trees and signs overhead. The bed on C"s hang over you and block those views. Class A"s have great views, but no airbags to protect you & cost more. This B+ has great views and airbags.
Rig has an upgraded, quieter water pump, a second coach battery for longer boondocking life. It includes everything needed for full hook-up or boondock camping; cables, hoses, etc. Has LED interior and exterior lights for less power demand and so longer battery life. Includes a white vinyl windshield cover. Has black and gray water tank heater pads for cold weather. All the other plumbing is inside the coach.
Oil on 4kW Onan (Cummins) generator has been changed twice, per break-in schedule. Total runtime is 62(?) hours.
Kit includes Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar with 6,000 lb, 2" hitch, two coiled safety cables, diode 7 to 6-wire Flexo-coil wiring kit, C-links, wrench and removeable arms for tow vehicle. A tow vehicle can be attached or released in under 10 minutes. Total value of those parts over $1,000.
This 2018 Gulf Stream averaged 9 & 10 mpg towing our little car from sea level to over 7,000 ft. Used Cruise Control most of the time & Tow/Haul all the time. Tow/Haul reduces shift frequency and uses quiet engine braking to reduce wear on brakes (and driver) when descending long, steep grades. Both wife & husband found it really easy to drive.
Has hydraulic auto-leveling system. (Pads for soft ground are included.) There are two direct-drive slide outs. (No cables to adjust.) One slide contains the drawers/wardrobe. When it"s out you can walk around foot of the bed. Other slide contains dinette & sofa. Even with the slides in you can walk from cab to the bath, kitchen, shower and bed. Can cook, etc. with slides in.
Many advantages: driver & passenger airbags, more counter space than many, 3-burner gas stove, a real oven, separate microwave, comfortable seating in coach, dinette seating for four, three exhaust fans with rain covers we added, powerful air-conditioner and furnace (A/C vents are in ceiling - cold air drops. Furnace vents are at the floor - warm air rises.) shower separate from toilet, a great bed with added memory foam topper, solid door between the bed/bath/shower and the kitchen/living area, adequate storage, interior space for 4 adults to visit and eat, sleeping for 2 adults and 2 to 4 kids or dogs (we didn"t take any), a screen door and a big, adjustable power awning. Never smoked in. See floorplan, features and options in photos.
Our 1st Grandchild has arrived. We"re staying home. Coach covered by a $3,200 USWC 96-Month Eagle Plus extended warranty that we bought for next owners. Chassis has Ford warranty.
